Watching Battlestar Galactica Season 3 Premiere, the New Caprica Episode…
… I am quite tickled by the fact that the first ten minutes or so consist of nothing but Cylons (well, except for Kara Thrace).
It really is amusing that of the Final Five Cylons, two were leading the anti-Cylon rebellion, one was being tortured by Cylons, & one was being forced to ‘serve’ a Cylon.
I love these Cylon occupation episodes if only because we get to see so many of the Cylons. Plus, there was the whole sub-plot of Kara playing house (quite violently) with Leoben. Delicious!
& as I remember it, Numbers Twos, Sixes, & Eights (my favorite Cylons of course) were in favor of more lenient policies toward humans.
Leoben Conoy, Cylon Number Two, Battlestar Galactica 1.08 “Flesh & Bone”.
Oh Leoben… You are my favorite cylon after Sharon Agathon. I love that he’s religious, prophetic, & almost entirely obsessed with Kara Thrace. Unlike other cylon models, the Number Two that we see (ie. Leoben) seems rather uninterested in the greater cylon-annihilating-human scheme, but is more consumed with whatever destiny lies for him & Starbuck. I also love his manipulation skills; the way he weaves truth with lies & uses it to get under people’s skin. He is one compelling cylon model!
BSG was on TV today, which made me really miss this show. Its first season really was ace & this episode was possibly my favorite, due to the introduction of the character Leoben Conoy & his charged interaction with Kara Thrace.
Leoben continued to be the most intriguing character & my second favorite character after Sharon “Athena” Agathon.
